Week 2 - Presentation Time

Assalam and hi again.

Today we were required to hold a discussion about the article on
‘Educational Multimedia Systems : The Past, the Present, and a Glimpse into the Future’ in a group of four.

So, we managed to form a group who are;
Faridanura binti Abdullah
Masni binti Othman
Mohd Munir bin Baharom
Ayatul Kauthar bin Basemin

and we come up with;

3 things to be considered in our discussion ;

1.How to integrate the educational multimedia system as discussed in the paper in teaching and learning?   Choose two systems.

Using e-learning system :
          a) digital slide show presentations
          b) video recording of lecture session
Using Internet video broadcasting systems
Using video conferencing tools to establish combine technology augmented classroom teaching with distance education.

2.What educational multimedia system do you think is effective and cost-effective and why?

Distance educational system. (E-learning)
Because distance education extends the period for each classes offered at regular universities.
It is cost effective because due to increasing performance and dropping prices on traditional computing  devices (e.g.  desktop PCs, laptops, and data projectors).

For distance education use, computer-generated slides may be printed out or put onto web sites, so that students do not have to copy the content for later recall.
Student can also refer to the content in the websites at any where and any time they prefer.

3.Suggest and justify an appropriate educational multimedia system that can be used in your school for teaching and learning. 

a)Educational Blogs.
b)Audio recorded for text reading comprehension- how to pronounce & tone the words. – Can be used in English lesson.
c)Visualize a photosynthesis process by flash – Can be use in Science.
d)Add topic discussion in a closed Facebook Group or blogs between teachers and students.
e)Website for students to access their lecture notes or homeworks.
